City staff announced that a Resilient Florida grant application submitted last year was awarded in full. Jennifer Ohl, who presented the item, said, “the project is going to be fully funded at $250,000,” and that pre-grant paperwork has been submitted and a formal agreement will be placed on an upcoming agenda.
Staff described the assessment as a first step toward additional resiliency and stormwater funding opportunities. City administration said the study will help the city better qualify for future grant dollars and programmatic work; no local match was required, according to staff.
