Dog-daycare renewal draws neighbor complaints about early-morning barking
Summary
Camp Bow Wow requested renewal of its outdoor relief area; a nearby resident complained that early-morning barking disturbs a newborn and a work-from-home parent. Owner Dana Saragano said dogs go out briefly and she can provide video to show practices; the board reserved decision pending county review.

The ZBA considered the renewal of an outdoor relief area for Lehi Poochpad LLC, operating as Camp Bow Wow, where owner-operator Dana Saragano and representative Steve Seragano said operations remain unchanged from the 2023 approval.
A neighbor, who gave his name as Sayidur, told the board that multiple dogs let outside early in the morning repeatedly wake his sleeping child and disturb his work-from-home schedule. He said, "When multiple dog is outside, I have the young family, the kids, the new born... it disturb me so much." Owner Dana Saragano responded that the dogs are out only briefly and that staff are mindful of neighbors; she said she has video evidence to show typical routines. The board amended application language to reflect that the approval applies to a portion of the existing building and reserved decision pending Suffolk County Planning comments.
