Track and field work underway; retaining wall pile installation expected to finish mid-August

The committee heard that early mobilization for the track and field project has commenced, including demolition of the existing track and field. "Narragansett Improvement Company has begun those actions on the materials on-site," the owner's project manager said, and reported pile drilling and installation began in July with an expected mid-August completion for that work.
The OPM added that wall concrete panels are in fabrication and expected in August. Committee members raised concerns about children accessing the active site through a temporary fence and agreed to add safety messaging for families before school starts.
