OPM: High school closeout moving forward; 26 items remain out of 2,737 closed

Erica, the owner's project manager, summarized the high school closeout progress and budget work. "There are 26 items, remaining out of the, 2,737 items that have been closed out," she said, and described a July 14 walk-through with OMB, bond counsel and city representatives to showcase completed work and discuss the next phase.
She said the team is reconciling the overall budget and moving known unspent line items into hard-cost contingency so change orders and late items can be covered. Erica reported change orders totaling roughly $179,356 hitting the construction budget and identified an FOI-funded outdoor furniture line of $48,583 that will increase the project budget without drawing on soft-cost contingency.
