The Valley View ISD Board of Trustees approved a multi-item consent agenda at its June 9, 2025 regular meeting, accepting routine minutes, contracts and program agreements recommended by district administration. Items approved included an interlocal Texas SmartBuy membership, STS electronic recycling services, the Region One ESC Tutor Hub agreement, and a 2025–2027 memorandum of understanding with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) for the Dual Credit Program.
The consent agenda also authorized instructional materials and distance-learning agreements: the board approved the use of Bluebonnet Learning materials for secondary math and renewed the Distance Learning Consortium MOA with Region I. It retrospectively approved a varsity softball tournament in Orlando (June 7–11, 2025) and authorized planned student activities including a UTSA Spanish Minor program (June 26–July 3, 2025) and a VVHS band trip to Drum Corps International (July 19, 2025). The motion to approve Consent items A–I was made by Board President Claudia Coronado, seconded by Trustee Jaime Gaona, and carried unanimously.
