The Waxahachie Independent School District Board of Trustees convened its regular meeting April 30, 2025, in the WISD board room. President Dusty Autrey called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.; trustees Adrian Cooper, Ryan Pitts, Debbie Timmermann and Kim Kriegel and several district administrators were present.
The board entered closed session at 9:00 a.m. and reconvened in open session at 9:05 a.m. No members of the public spoke during the open forum. After returning from closed session the board approved a motion to hire Rebecca "Becky" McCutchen as superintendent and to approve the superintendent contract terms as discussed in closed session; the motion passed 5-0. Trustee Kim Kriegel then moved to adjourn; Trustee Ryan Pitts seconded and the meeting adjourned at 9:08 a.m.
