The Board recognized several district achievements at the Sept. 19 meeting: Waco High student Isabella Ganske received a Scholastic Art & Writing Gold Key award; Allison Davis (Lake Air Montessori PDS) was selected for the TEA Teacher Leadership Fellowship; Jo Spark (Alta Vista Elementary) was named a 2024–2025 Teach Plus Texas Teaching Policy Fellow; and the City of Waco Fire Department received the September Community Partner Award.
Superintendent Dr. Kincannon also invited the public to the Tennyson Middle School dedication on Sept. 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., and highlighted upcoming school musical productions and staff-development days. These recognitions and event announcements were presented as part of the Superintendent's report and were accepted by the Board as informational items.
