Selectboard to model personnel policy on similar towns, cites Wolcott example

During the April 30 meeting the Selectboard discussed updating the town's personnel policy and agreed to benchmark policies used by similar-size towns. The board specifically identified the town of Wolcott as a model and assigned Selectboard member Mary Catherine Graziano to incorporate selected policy points into Isle La Motte's draft.
Minutes record that the provisions under consideration include a probationary period, mileage reimbursement, and the termination process. "Mary Catherine will incorporate some of their policy points to our town's policy on a probationary period as mileage-reimbursement, and termination process into the Isle La Motte (draft) policy," the minutes say. The board did not adopt a final personnel policy at the meeting and deferred final approval pending the drafted revisions.
