The Monroe Public Schools Board of Education voted to accept the reinstatement committee's recommendation and unconditionally reinstate Student A.
Mr. Malolowski presented the committee's recommendation and offered the board three choices: unconditional reinstatement, conditional reinstatement, or denial of reinstatement. "We ask the board to consider the recommendation of the reinstatement committee on this matter of student discipline and move to accept the recommendation of the committee for an unconditional reinstatement of student A," he said. A board member moved to accept the committee recommendation and the board voted to reinstate the student; committee members on the record characterized their decision as unanimous.
The vote was taken by roll call and the motion carried.
