Administration presented the district strategic plan and told the board two final edits had been made: a target that Monroe Public Schools "will achieve an annual 80% satisfaction rate among families who identify the district as a valued, trusted, and collaborative partner" (goal 4a) and a commitment to work with 10 community partners annually (goal 4a II). "So on that area right there, 4 a, now reads, Monroe Public Schools will achieve an annual 80% satisfaction rate among families..." the superintendent said.
Board members noted the plan reflects broad community input from focus groups and suggested KPIs (key performance indicators) be updated to match the revised language; administration said KPIs and actions will be revised after approval. A motion to approve the plan with the listed edits passed by roll call. District staff said the approved plan will be formatted and published following the vote.
