At its Jan. 29 meeting the Troy ISD Board of Trustees approved resolutions recognizing student achievements across multiple programs, including football, FFA, band and robotics. The meeting record lists many students by name on attached resolution pages; trustees approved the resolutions unanimously on a motion by Carrie Trees, seconded by Bill Negron.
Resolutions recorded on pages provided to the board list individual honors: Troy High School football players were cited as Bi-District qualifiers and for All-District and academic honors; the FFA teams advanced to state-level competition in agriculture issues and radio broadcasting; the Troy High School Band placed 10th in the UIL State Marching Contest; and the robotics team earned regional awards and a state creative design second-place finish. Multiple students were noted as present to accept their resolutions.
