Public Works Director Jack Burton presented the annual fleet report at the Dec. 16 Uintah City Council meeting, describing several pieces of aging equipment and recommending next steps. He said the blue tractor is inoperable due to a locked front wheel and advised placing it on the surplus auction. Burton also noted the park mower dates from about 2000–2003 and may be replaced in the next budget year with a model that includes a bagger.
Burton told the council that funds have been allocated to rent a tractor for roadside mowing in the near term. He reported the new truck is performing well during plowing operations, that the white Ford is serving as a backup plow truck, and that the International truck is being started daily to maintain functionality.
