"Now therefore, I, Kyle Van Buskirk, by the authority vested in me as mayor of the city of Lighthouse Point, do hereby proclaim the March of March 2025 as American Red Cross Month," Van Buskirk said as the commission presented the proclamation. Staff and commissioners thanked volunteers and described Keeper's Day as a community celebration that highlighted local service and youth participation.
The recognitions were ceremonial; no policy changes accompanied the proclamations. The commission closed the ceremonial portion of the meeting and moved on to regular business.
