The board then held a discussion with State Board of Education District 8 member Dr. Audrey Young, who joined the meeting via Google Meet to review policies and standards for Texas public schools that have applicability to Waller ISD. The transcript records that the board and Dr. Young "expressed their commitment to working together for the benefit of all students in Waller ISD and across the state." The meeting recessed to closed session at 6:20 p.m. and later reconvened in open session at 8:29 p.m.; President Warren adjourned the meeting at 8:29 p.m.
