The Glynn County Board of Commissioners on Aug. 6 approved a 2026 alcoholic-beverage license for BAD Empire LLC, doing business as Eat Chicago J's, at 6110 Altama Avenue, Unit 100, Brunswick.
Christy Kinston, director of licensing and compliance, told commissioners that "this application has been processed and reviewed" and that the background check was approved by the police chief. No members of the public spoke in opposition during the hearing, the board said.
The license authorizes the sale of beer, wine and liquor for consumption on the premises; Sunday sales are permitted. The applicant identified at the podium as Bridal Daniels described the restaurant as "it's a seafood and chicken." The motion to approve the license was moved, seconded and carried unanimously.
The board took the vote after the 30-minute public-hearing rules were read and no opposition appeared. The item was introduced as agenda item 18 and concluded with the board's vote; the county licensing office will issue the final permit paperwork and notify the licensee of any local conditions or requirements.
