Susan Clow identified herself during public comment as owner/operator of Bailey's Lobster Pound, Stern Seafood and Emma's Eats and described persistent parking problems in the Pine Point/co-op lot. She said she pays $10,000 per year in rent for the co-op lot but "I still have not been assigned the last 15 parking spaces, and that's been since 2019. I can't use them, and I'm paying for them." Clow said uneven pricing across nearby lots drives morning congestion and harms her customers' access.
Committee members acknowledged the issue and called it a separate, urgent operational problem. Members suggested the co-op lot be treated as a business-parking lot and recommended staff confer with the affected businesses and with Tom (town staff) to resolve allocations and billing. Staff agreed this appears separate from the automated-parking study and likely requires targeted, immediate attention.
