The City of Palos Heights Zoning Board of Appeals met March 11, 2026. Chairman Jim Hughes called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., roll was taken by Assistant City Administrator Aimee Ingalls, and the board approved the February 11, 2026 minutes by unanimous voice vote.
The board considered four special-use petitions. It recommended approval for DOCKET 2026-SUP-02 (eyelash studio at 6535 W. 127th St.), recommended approval for DOCKET 2026-SUP-03 (hand carwash and detail shop at 6350 W. 135th St.) by a roll-call vote of 4–2 (Aye: Hanley, Starzyk, Shanahan, Probasco; Nay: Hughes, Gregory), denied DOCKET 2026-SUP-04 (medical clinic and urgent care at 12244 S. Harlem Ave.) as recorded in the minutes, and recommended approval for DOCKET 2026-SUP-05 (hair salon at 12626 S. Harlem Ave.). Commissioner Thomas Gregory moved to adjourn at 6:47 p.m.; Commissioner Robert Starzyk seconded and the board adjourned.
