Committee signs off on fleet outfitting and multiple engineering payments; gas detector replacement to be sent to council

Palos Heights’ Water and Sewer Committee approved a set of equipment and professional services payments March 24, including $6,800 to Regional Truck Equipment for outfitting a 2025 Ford Transit van and consultant payments to RJN Group, Seeco Consultants and Strand Associates.
Alderman Key moved to approve the transit outfit payment; Chairman Brennan seconded and the motion passed unanimously by voice vote. Separately, the committee approved payment to RJN Group for $23,294.88 for 2025 sanitary sewer rehabilitation and on‑call services through Feb. 27, 2026; Seeco Consultants for a geotechnical investigation and proposed 6" HDPE directional drilling for $6,840; and a payment request for Strand Associates of $11,242.28 for CIPP lining work.
Administrator Jasinski also reported the department’s gas detector used in pits and manholes is no longer repairable and estimated a replacement cost of $6,400; because the item was not on the committee agenda he said he will place the purchase on an upcoming City Council agenda for approval.
The motions passed by unanimous voice votes and the minutes record no public comment or objections to the payments or equipment actions.
