New TriStar Stonecrest CEO introduces himself to La Verne council

Mayor opened the presentations by inviting a representative from Stonecrest to the podium. Ryan LeMasters introduced himself as "the new CEO at Stonecrest Medical Center, TriStar Stonecrest Medical Center, in Smyrna," said he has been with HCA for about 20 years and described his management priorities as ensuring quality, compassionate care for all county residents.
LeMasters told the council that Stonecrest employs roughly 800 people and said the hospital is "committed to the care and improvement of human life." He cited two external ratings while describing the hospital's position in Rutherford County: "you may or may not know this, but we're the only hospital in the county that from centers of Medicare and Medicaid has received a 4 star rating" and said Stonecrest received a straight "A" from LeapFrog. He said he wants Stonecrest to be "a destination location for any member of this community that you can trust us with your care" and offered to be a resource to the city on health-care matters.
The mayor thanked LeMasters and the council had no further questions recorded. LeMasters remained available to answer follow-up questions and the mayor moved on to the next agenda item.
