Council adopts three land-use measures, including temporary school permit for District 214 site

The Rolling Meadows City Council on April 28 adopted three separate land-use ordinances by unanimous 5–0 roll call votes. Mayor Sanoica read each ordinance into the record before votes: Ordinance No. 26-10 grants a temporary special use permit for a school (Township High School District 214) at 2310 Bluebird Lane; Ordinance No. 26-11 approves a plat of subdivision for 3111 & 3113 Meadow Drive (Old Fire Station 15 resubdivision); and Ordinance No. 26-12 amends the city's Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
Alderperson McHale moved adoption of Ordinance 26-10, seconded by Alderperson Boucher; Alderperson Reyez moved adoption of Ordinance 26-11, seconded by Alderperson O’Brien; Alderperson McHale moved adoption of Ordinance 26-12, seconded by Alderperson Boucher. All roll calls were recorded as five in favor, none opposed, with Alderpersons Budmats and Vinezeano absent. The council did not request additional public hearings or defer any of the measures during the meeting.
These items update the city's land-use approvals and subdivision records and allow the District 214 site to proceed under the temporary special use permit. Council records show each ordinance adopted on second reading at this meeting will be reflected in the official code and land-use files.
