Commission proposes edits to solar mounting language, building-integrated solar and removes hotline reference

During the ordinance review the commission identified several provisions related to solar installations. Members recommended replacing the term "flush" with "surface" mounted in Sec. 32-431(b)(1)(c) and asked the consultant to add a follow-up section to address building-integrated solar systems that would not be required to be removed if they become inoperable.
Separately, the commission recommended removing a reference to a complaint hotline in Sec. 32-433(c)(2)(a–d). The change was described as an editorial/legal clean-up to avoid enshrining an external hotline reference in the municipal code. No final language was adopted at the Nov. 12 meeting; the consultant will be asked to draft the specific wording.
