Residents urge Third Lake not to restrict trailer, RV and boat parking on private property

Three residents used the public comment period to request that rules limiting trailer, RV and boat storage not be tightened. Resident Jim Pye said he "would like to be able to store three trailers on his property." Resident Chris Trendle said he does not want limits on RV and boat storage on his property, and resident John Jackson said he wants to continue to park trailers and boats in his driveway.
At the same time, committee member Bob Lizzo asked the consultant to "re-visit both definitions on how to best identify rear storage in R3," indicating that commissioners view the definitions as crucial to any restriction. The commission did not take formal action on the storage requests during the Nov. 12 meeting and directed staff to incorporate suggested wording changes into the consultant's draft for further consideration.
