Board approves geotechnical, architectural contracts and hears construction updates for voter-funded projects

The Board approved an agreement with Terracon Consultants, Inc. for geotechnical services at the planned Warren Ranch High School site and authorized the superintendent or designee to finalize the contract. Director of Construction Scott Walker explained the geotechnical work is needed before site development and foundation design can proceed.
Separately, the Board selected VLK Architects to provide architectural and design services for the Johnson Junior High project, authorizing district staff to negotiate a fair and reasonable contract. Trustee votes on both items were unanimous, 7-0-0. Walker also provided a general update on projects approved by voters in 2019, 2022 and 2024 and directed trustees to posted materials for project status and schedules.
The geotechnical and architectural approvals are procedural steps to advance planning and design work for the district’s next wave of construction.
