Planning Commission approves Millstone Village Phase II final plat, requires surety for sidewalks and road testing

Senior Planner Josh Cole presented the final plat request (MASD-3151) for Millstone Village Phase II, describing 28 residential lots ranging from about 7,300 to nearly 16,000 square feet and the recently constructed Runnerstone Road (approximately 1,529 linear feet) on the former Millstone Golf Course south of Morristown Regional Airport.
"This request is part of the former Millstone Golf Course located just south of the Morristown Regional Airport on Alpha Valley Home Road," Josh Cole said, and staff recommended approval while noting remaining work that must be guaranteed by surety: installation of sidewalks, core samples of the road, and submission of as-built survey documents. Commissioner Ventrus Norfolk moved to approve the final plat contingent on receiving a surety; Commissioner Alpha Alexander seconded. Mayor Gary Chesney confirmed the motion would include the surety bond; Mr. Cole affirmed the condition.
The commission recorded a 9–0 vote in favor of the contingent approval, and the motion carried. The action allows recording toward project completion once the developer posts the required surety and fulfills the enumerated items.
