Barrow County commissioners on Nov. 26 tabled consideration of a FY24 budget-adjustment resolution that would authorize the county manager and CFO to make year‑end audit adjustments after the audit is complete.
Staff described the resolution as an administrative measure needed to trues up unforeseen revenues and expenditures and to facilitate submission of a clean audit to the Department of Audits. Commissioners requested itemized lists of proposed adjustments and supporting documentation; after discussion a motion to table the resolution until the Dec. 10 meeting passed by voice vote so staff and the county's audit partner can provide more detailed information.
