Board ratifies $248,700 Centegix school alert purchase paid from camera revenue fund

Barrow County commissioners voted Nov. 26 to ratify an agreement to purchase a Centegix school-alert system for $248,700 and to pay the invoice from the county's camera revenue fund.
"I'm Mike Ham with the sheriff's office. The reason we're here is, we have partnered with the school system on getting the Centegix alert system in place," said Mike Ham of the sheriff's office, who told commissioners the system had been tested and used on Sept. 4. County manager staff introduced the item and said the invoice is now due and the funds have been turned over to the county. Commissioners moved and seconded approval and carried the motion by voice vote.
