Forebay Committee to host invitation-only Conservation Easement celebration June 16

The Payson Forebay Committee confirmed plans May 19 for an invitation-only Conservation Easement Celebration set for Tuesday, June 16 at 7:00 p.m. Committee members said attendees will meet at the Forebay lower parking lot, ride to the top, and hike down as part of the program.
Adam Cowie said he will send the invitation to Lehi City. Amalie Ottley, Payson City Recorder, said she would prepare 24 swag bags including drawstring backpacks, Gatorade and trail mix; Kevin Crook said he would pick up the bags. Recreation Director Karl Teemant said he would provide vans for transport and coordinate light refreshments with Payson City concessions, and that Karl, Councilmember Ryan Rowley and Mayor Wright will speak briefly at the event. The Forebay Committee decided the celebration “will not be advertised to the public” to keep the occasion as a thank-you to partners and local contributors.
