Knowlton EC approves sending social-media policy and photo-release request to Township Committee

The Knowlton Township Environmental Commission reviewed and approved transmission to the Township Committee of a one-page summary and the full social media policy on July 7. The policy summary details that moderation will remain viewpoint-neutral, that criticism of the Commission will be allowed and that comments should be hidden rather than deleted only when they cross a defined line such as threats of violence; the policy also affirms that social media content and meeting recordings are public records under OPRA.
The Commission agreed a photo permission/release form should be created and included with the policy. Motion (Vince Gaeta) to transmit the social media policy summary and the full policy to the Township Committee, with the new photo release form to be created and requesting permission to create the Commission's Facebook page, was seconded by Rick Clarkson and approved by unanimous voice vote.
