Shelter Island Board approves teacher aide hire, claims auditor and appoints district treasurer

The Shelter Island Union Free School District Board of Education approved several personnel actions on June 17, 2025. Katherine Rossi-Snook moved to appoint Mallory Clark as a teacher aide effective July 1, 2025, at a salary of $24,220 (Step 1 of the 2025–2026 teacher aide salary scale); Karina Montalvo seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
The Board also approved the appointment of Patricia Goff as Claims Auditor, effective July 1, 2025, at a rate of $75.00 per hour. Separately, the Board accepted the resignation of Maryann Impastato as Senior Account Clerk effective June 30, 2025 and appointed her as District Treasurer effective July 1, 2025; the Board approved an agreement for non-aligned personnel (Impastato) and authorized the Board President to execute it. All motions carried unanimously.
