The Sheryl City Commission voted to authorize its representative to sign an engineering contract with Barnland Judas to carry the municipal pool project from design through construction.
The commission heard that "the numbers are projecting right now are gonna be closer to 330,000," the presenting commissioner said, noting the original engineering figure in the application was about $320,000 — a roughly $10,000 increase. The contract, the speaker said, will cover the survey and asbestos survey, initial and construction-phase engineering and project administration. Officials said the timeline remains to build in 2027 and open in 2028. The motion to authorize signing the contract was made and carried during the meeting.
