Planning commission recommends approval to split 2145 Dooley Town Road into two lots

The Barrow County Planning Commission recommended approval of Rezone 2025-002 on Jan. 16, forwarding a request to rezone about 2.9 acres at 2145 Dooley Town Road from agricultural to low-density R-1 to permit a two-lot division.
Surveyor Zach Garrett spoke for the owners and said environmental health has approved the lot for septic and that the existing trailer will remain on one lot while the other will be developed as a residential building site. Commissioners had no objections and voted to recommend approval to the Barrow County Board of Commissioners. The board will consider the matter at its Feb. 11 meeting.
