District recommends JumpRope platform as part of standards-based grading rollout

District staff reported on proficiency-based education (PBE) work this year, including Marzano trainings, student trackers and a middle-school standards-based-grading rollout. Staff described technical challenges with the current platform (Aeries) during the pilot and said the JumpRope platform visually represents standards, missing assignments and decaying averages better for teachers and families. "Every single time, we'd jump rope. Does this work? There was a... they'd show us how it visually looks differently and is very clearly communicated," a presenter said summarizing pilot feedback.
The PBE team recommended purchasing JumpRope for the 2026–27 school year and staff said they will bring the purchase to the June 23 meeting with a training plan for middle-school staff before the fall term. Trustees asked about parent-facing changes and communications; staff acknowledged integration work will be required and pledged pre-launch outreach so families will understand how grade reporting may appear differently in the new platform.
