She asked that the district secure trained educational interpreters and provide translated IEP documents so parents can participate meaningfully.
Acevedo also requested ongoing coaching and accountability rather than one‑time training and said she supports previously presented special‑education strategic plans and hopes the district will partner with external organizations for professional development.
