Vice President Langenwalter reported that in closed session the board approved four personnel appointments.
"The 1st action taken in closed session was by unanimous vote of 6 to 0, 1 absent, to appoint Robert Rayburn to the position of senior coordinator assessment services at a monthly rate of 15,856," Vice President Langenwalter read aloud and congratulated the appointee. The motion was reported as made by Doctor Cancio and seconded by Miss Omezkua.
The board also appointed Natalie Benda as coordinator of strategic initiatives and engagement at a monthly rate of $14,968 (motion by Miss Free, seconded by Mr. Copeland) and Justin Barrios as coordinator, student success and partnerships at a monthly rate of $14,968 (motion by Miss Zemezcua, seconded by Miss Free). Members also voted unanimously to appoint Matthew Montez as Dean of Students, High School; the transcript records a monthly rate for that appointment that is not clearly legible and therefore not specified in this report.
These appointments were read on the record as the board’s closed‑session report; vice president Langenwalter closed the report by congratulating the appointees.
