On March 31 the Flambeau School District Board discussed changes to paid-time-off policy and payout mechanics. The proposed structure would keep teaching staff at 10 PTO days and institute a scale for other employees: 1–5 years earns 20 days, 5–10 years 25 days, and 10+ years capped at 30 days; existing contracts before July 1, 2025, would be grandfathered, though the 30-day cap would remain in place going forward.
The board also agreed to return to prior payout rates for accumulated days: $12.50 per hour for teachers and $8.50 per hour for support staff. These figures were recorded in the minutes as the recommended payout approach; the items will be incorporated into the personnel-policy draft for formal consideration.
