The Shelter Island Union Free School District Board unanimously approved its annual slate of officers and professional service agreements for 2025–26 at the July 14 meeting. The appointments include District Clerk Jacqueline Dunning and District Treasurer Maryann Impastato; accountants Cullen & Danowski at $47,800; Ingerman Smith, LLP as school attorney with a stated annual retainer of $42,000 and $295 per hour for additional services; and Nawrocki Smith as external auditors at $30,000 as indicated in their engagement letters.
The board also designated official depositories (JPMorgan Chase, Capital One, CLASS and Bridgehampton National Bank), named the Shelter Island Reporter as the official newspaper, and approved other administrative officers (Title IX and VII compliance, ADA officer, purchasing agent, records officers and data-privacy officer). The motion approving the slate carried unanimously.
