Barrow County approved revisions to the FY2025 water and wastewater rate and fee schedule that include several fee changes and clarifications.
A county transportation/utility representative presented the changes under item 7f, saying staff proposed adding a $10 recovery-cost fee for the Harry McCarty per-gallon basin pump station being constructed. The proposal also added clarifying notes about commercial master meters and introduced a $100 capacity application fee per home for residential developments of one to five homes. Commissioner (District 6) moved to approve the schedule and Commissioner (District 4) seconded; the chair called the vote and declared the motion carried.
Commissioners thanked staff for clarifying the schedule language. The revisions were presented as clarifications and targeted fee additions tied to a named facility rather than broad rate increases.
