County approves GDOT lighting agreement for SR 81/Tom Miller roundabout

A transportation department representative described the agreement as an intergovernmental lighting agreement for the roundabout installed at SR 81 and Tom Miller Road and asked the board to authorize the chairman to execute the document. Commissioner (District 4) said he hears more about that intersection than any other in the county and moved to approve; Commissioner (District 3) seconded and the chair declared the motion carried following a voice vote.
The board did not request additional study or budget amendments during the vote; staff indicated the project is part of the existing roundabout improvements.
