Board approves first reading to adopt HMH 'Into Literature' for grades 6–8

The motion passed Yea: 6, Nay: 1. Board member Kim Chandler opposed the adoption, recorded in the minutes as saying the materials "have a lot of good points however, with the AI and social emotional learning aspects she will vote no on this adoption." The board also noted supplemental tools for grades 9–12 would be purchased instead of adopting the full high-school HMH package.
