At the March 10 meeting the Mineral Point Unified School District Board of Trustees approved a block of policy updates by unanimous roll-call vote. The policies adopted included 113 (Nondiscrimination in District Programs, reverting to the previously approved September 2020 policy), 443.7 (Responsible Use/Internet Safety), 446 (Student Search and Seizure), 447.3 and 447.4 (Student Suspensions/Expulsions), 511 and 512 (Discrimination and Harassment), 723 and 723.3 (School Safety Plans and Emergency School Closings), 832 (Weapons on School Premises), and 860 (Visitors to the Schools).
Member Johnston moved to approve the policies as presented and Member Bergstrom seconded; the roll-call vote recorded six YES votes (Johnston, Bergstrom, Busch, Harris, Heisner, Dunn). The transcript does not record substantive amendments or extended debate in open session on the individual policies; the board approved them as a group.
