On July 9 the Planning Commission recommended Council approve an amendment to Zoning Ordinance Chapter 13 (Multiple Family Residential R‑3) to add a Special Land Use category for Non‑Medical or Group Counseling Centers. Schneider said a church at 409 Mundy Ave wishes to donate the property to the Alano Club, and the current R‑3 rules do not permit that change; he reported the Police Department had no concerns about the Alano Club locating at that address.
The commission closed the public hearing and voted (motion by Fedell, second by Gunneson) to recommend the ordinance amendment to Council; the minutes record the motion carried (AIF/MC).
