Sheryl Young elected chair; annual meeting minutes approved and 2026 date set

At the Granton Area School District annual meeting Sheryl Young was nominated and elected chairperson by unanimous ballot; electors approved previous minutes and set the 2026 annual meeting for Oct. 19, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.
During the Oct. 20, 2025 annual meeting, Tiffanee Tesmer moved and Jessica Schier seconded the nomination of Sheryl Young as chairperson; electors then closed nominations and cast a unanimous ballot to elect Young. Board Clerk Douglas Eichten presented the 2024 minutes, which electors approved on a motion by Jessica Schier and seconded by Tiffanee Tesmer.
The meeting also set the 2026 annual meeting for Oct. 19, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. Later in the session, Char Johnson read the minutes of the Oct. 20, 2025 annual meeting and electors approved those minutes as recorded. The meeting adjourned at 7:54 p.m. following a motion by Tiffanee Tesmer and seconded by Deb Marg.
