Tabitha's Way asks Payson to move donation bins to police-adjacent sidewalk

Osborne told the council the current placement has become a routine target for illegal dumping and theft, requiring Tabitha's Way staff to clear furniture and other debris before crews can access the bins. "These two donation bins generate funding that provides approximately just these two bins, 20,000 meals each year," Osborne said, noting the organization had repeatedly covered cleanup costs. She proposed extending the sidewalk to prevent taking up parking stalls and said Tabitha's Way would assume the expense.
Council members expressed support and asked staff to coordinate with the police department to find a suitable site; Mayor (chair) said staff would follow up with the police department to identify an appropriate location. No formal action was taken that night; councilors instructed staff to evaluate logistics and report back.
