The Lake Forest SD 67 board voted to accept the 2023–24 annual financial audit at its Feb. 25 meeting. Superintendent Montgomery told the board that the district “received an unmodified clean opinion from our auditing firm,” and he congratulated finance staff for what he called outstanding stewardship.
The board moved and seconded acceptance of the audit, followed by a roll-call vote that the clerk recorded in favor. The superintendent said this represents the highest assurance auditors can give a district and thanked the finance team by name during his remarks.
