The Henrico County Board of Supervisors on June 23 unanimously approved the county's FY2026–27 Annual Action Plan, authorizing submission of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME program plans and execution of the contracts required to implement those activities.
Mary Maupai, interim executive director for Safe Harbor, addressed the Board during the public hearing and "thanked the Board for their continued support and funding," endorsing the county's plan to use federal CDBG and HOME dollars for community development and housing programs. The resolution (147-26) passed on a unanimous voice vote with no public opposition recorded.
The action allows county staff to sign required funding agreements and begin implementation of the listed CDBG and HOME activities for the fiscal year. No statutory citations were introduced during the hearing and the staff presentation did not identify contested items or objections from members of the public. The Board did not request additional studies or amendments to the submitted plan at the time of the vote.
Next steps: County staff will proceed with contract execution and program implementation under the approved Annual Action Plan.
