Christine Worth, Wayne County Director of Tourism, briefed the committee on several promotional activities and events. She said advertising for the Apple Tasting Tour is ongoing and that the department's first-quarter "I Love NY" submission was approved; four journalists are scheduled to tour the area next week and travel writer Theresa St. John recently featured the Candy Kitchen in Flipbook Magazine.
Worth also said the department is in conversations with Trailworks about potential benefits of the Trailworks app for county tourism and reminded the committee that a monument ribbon-cutting event is scheduled for August 21–22; she indicated she hopes to present a resolution next month regarding a CRM system for the tourism office.
