Board President John L. Solis opened the Raymondville Independent School District Board meeting on Oct. 14, 2025, where Chief Financial Officer David Longoria presented the district’s September tax-collection and financial reports.
David Longoria told trustees the Tax Collector’s report showed a tax levy of $3,485,938 and collections of $3,134,345 for September 2025, a collection rate of 89.91%. He also reported total district investments of $3,010,675.65 and presented the district’s investment portfolio, revenues and expenditures as of Sept. 30, 2025.
The district received a separate presentation on the board’s statutorily required review of investment policies and strategies; the presentation reviewed current policy language and investment strategy options for trustee consideration. A resolution to review the investment policy and to designate investment officers and independent training sources later appeared and was approved as part of the consent agenda.
The financial figures are the totals reported by Chief Financial Officer David Longoria during the meeting; the board did not debate the figures during the session and took no additional, separate financial action beyond the consent approvals.
