District will fold 'Graduate of Granite' traits into PBIS and attendance measures

Granite School District's strategic plan pairs academic goals with social and disposition priorities. Presenters said the district will integrate the Graduate of Granite characteristics into its PBIS expectations and will refine measurement approaches over the summer.
According to the presentation, Tiered Interventions and Supports will be measured with a TFI tool used for PBIS interventions, attendance will be tracked to increase the number of "regular attenders," and a sense of belonging will be measured via the Panorama Survey. "We will refine this measure this summer to break this down even further," presenters said.
District staff noted that schools are responsible for taking attendance consistently and that the social-disposition measures will be included in school CIPs and monitored by district leadership.
