Compliance director revives County Safety Committee; committee adopts gender-based violence prevention policy

Ed Hunt, Wayne County’s Director of Compliance, told the Government Operations Committee he has worked to reestablish the County Safety Committee after it had been inactive; he said two meetings have been held and the most recent was well attended. Hunt reported that Bonadio completed a review of the county’s compliance program and that he does not anticipate recommendations resulting from the review.
Following the update, the committee approved a transmittal to establish and implement the Wayne County Gender-Based Violence Prevention Policy. The action was recorded as approved 5-0. Hunt encouraged committee members to participate in the safety committee and emphasized that all are welcome to attend.
