Red Oak ISD recognizes teachers, students and staff and posts election and event calendar

During the April 28 meeting the Board recognized several student and staff achievements. Deputy Superintendent Michelle Ailara presented Campus Teachers of the Year and the Childcare Teacher of the Year; Magda Davis recognized Spanish Spelling Bee winners; Superintendent Brenda Sanford recognized Top Hawks and the Hawk Staff Spotlight winner Natalie Childs; and Brett Haugh recognized the Hawk Scholars Academy cohort of 2029 and two seniors graduating with associate degrees.
Superintendent Sanford also provided calendar items and community information: the last day of early voting is April 29, election day is May 3 at Red Oak Municipal Center (200 Lakeview Parkway); Varsity Hawks Baseball bi-district playoff is May 1 at 7:00 p.m. at Red Oak High School; the ROHS musical "Xanadu" is scheduled May 1-4 in the ROHS Performing Arts Center; Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5-9; Coffee Talk with the Superintendent is May 7 at 7:45 a.m.; the next regular board meeting is May 12 at 6:00 p.m.; the next Mobile Food Pantry is May 15 at 4 p.m.; and Red Oak High School graduation is May 29 at 4:00 p.m. at the Mansfield ISD Performing Arts Center.
